Edye, the children’s streaming platform from HITN Media, is adding Rockolandia: Las Cabritas to its lineup this month, bringing a Puerto Rican animated musical series to Spanish-speaking families across the United States and Latin America.
Created and produced in Puerto Rico by Dakiti Productions, the series follows seven little goats who explore the world through music, humor and play while outsmarting El Lobo Feroz. The show encourages children to move, sing, express their emotions and learn through storytelling and original music.
The series, created by Cristina Carrión, is a revival of a children’s musical her father, renowned Puerto Rican composer Alberto Carrión, created in the 1980s. Cristina Carrión directs the new series and serves as its head writer and showrunner, while her father composes and produces the music.
Since its launch, Rockolandia: Las Cabritas has won four Emmy Awards and surpassed 160 million views on YouTube.
“We are thrilled that Rockolandia: Las Cabritas is coming to Edye,” Erika Vogt-Lowell, vice president of content at HITN Media, said in a statement. “This series was created to bring families together through music, laughter and stories that children can see themselves in.”
The addition reflects Edye’s effort to feature Hispanic creators and culturally authentic programming. The platform offers Spanish-language children’s content in an ad-free, algorithm-free environment designed for young audiences and their caregivers.
