‘Fauci: The Virus Hunter’ is a one-hour documentary coproduced in partnership with The Associated Press and South Florida PBS’ Health Channel.

BROOKLYN, NY – Fauci: the Virus Hunter was recognized by the 2021 Sharecare Awards as a winner in the Disruptors in Healthcare category. The Sharecare Awards, in association with The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, New York Chapter (NY NATAS), honors excellence in documentaries, series, shorts, web/online programming related to health and well-being. The organization aims to elevate individuals and organizations whose programming is empowering people to live healthier.

The documentary explores the life and career of the scientist who has become the advisor to seven U.S. presidents, Dr. Anthony Stephen Fauci. The film follows him from his early beginnings to becoming a groundbreaking clinical investigator and his critical role in the fight of viruses such as HIV, SARS, Avian Flu, H1N1 (aka the Swine Flu), Zika, Ebola, and most recently, Covid-19.

“Dr. Fauci’s story will greatly inspire young people interested in pursuing careers in science to make a difference in people’s lives.
