HITN continues its commitment to public education through initiatives that reflect its mission to educate and entertain.
As part of its ongoing effort to support educational programs across New York City, members of HITN’s Government and Community Affairs team visited P.S. 96X The Richard Rodgers School, in the Bronx, to deliver 25 iPads that will enhance the learning experience for students.
“Thank you, HITN. It’s very important for us to receive this donation in addition to our budget because it gives us the ability to get the added technology that we need,” said Principal Joan Vetere, Ed.D. “I can go on about the many things our school needs and our children deserve—so, gracias.”
The iPads will serve as versatile tools in the classroom, enabling personalized learning, fostering student engagement through interactive lessons, and supporting collaboration among students and teachers.
Former New York State Assembly Member José Rivera attended the event as a special guest. The school was part of his district during his time in office, making his presence a meaningful nod to the community’s enduring support for education.
With this donation, HITN reaffirms its role as a key partner in education. By providing students with access to essential digital resources, the organization helps bridge the technology gap and empowers young learners to thrive in today’s digital world.
