HITN participated in the third annual New York Sports Emmy Awards after receiving a nomination in the category of Sports Story – News & Spanish-Language Content.
The ceremony, held at midday at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, brought together producers, anchors, and creative teams from networks and media companies recognized for their sports coverage during the eligible period.
HITN’s nomination was for Voces: Yankees Translator, a feature telling the story of Marlon Abreu, a Dominican professional who helps Hispanic players adapt to the New York Yankees by bridging the language gap. The report competed against entries from NY1 Noticias, Univision 41, and Telemundo 47.
Although HITN did not take home the award, its presence was felt, with one of its representatives participating as a presenter during the ceremony.
