HITN Media employees wore pink on October 23 in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, joining an international effort to promote awareness, early detection and support for those affected by the disease.

The initiative, known as Wear It Pink Day, encourages individuals and organizations to wear pink as a visible sign of solidarity with breast cancer patients, survivors and their families.

Breast cancer affects women and men worldwide, but disparities in screening, diagnosis and access to care can contribute to poorer outcomes in underserved communities. Hispanic women may face barriers to timely diagnosis and treatment, underscoring the importance of accessible health information and early detection.

Wear It Pink originated in the United Kingdom through Breast Cancer Now, a charity dedicated to breast cancer research and support. The annual campaign brings communities together to raise awareness and advance efforts to improve outcomes for those affected by the disease.

Through its participation, HITN Media joined colleagues and organizations in highlighting the importance of breast health awareness and standing in solidarity with the millions of people whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
