HITN has teamed up with Casa Afro in Puerto Rico to support local students and families with new technology.
The donation included iPads, protective cases, and stylus pens that will be used to launch programs in graphic design, digital drawing, and technology training. A new community digital library will also be created, giving residents access to the internet, educational tools, and culturally relevant resources.
Casa Afro, home to the Corredor Afro, is a space dedicated to collective Afrocentric thought and cultural identity. Its work continues thanks to the leadership of co-founder Marta Moreno Vega, who has long championed initiatives that strengthen Afro-descendant heritage.
The new resources will give students more opportunities to learn, explore their creativity, and build technology skills. HITN says it is proud to support projects that promote inclusion, innovation, and community empowerment.
