Each year on January 6, New York’s Hispanic community gathers to celebrate the Epiphany through the beloved tradition of Three Kings Day. Continuing this meaningful custom, HITN welcomed the new year with its annual Three Kings Day Fiesta, a signature event that brings together families, employees, community partners, and leaders at HITN’s studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Now firmly established as a hallmark celebration, the event reflects HITN’s ongoing commitment to honoring cultural traditions while strengthening community ties. The festivities transformed HITN’s workspace into a welcoming gathering place that highlighted unity, heritage, and shared purpose.
“HITN is deeply honored to continue celebrating Three Kings Day, a tradition that resonates strongly with the communities we serve,” said Michael D. Nieves, President and CEO of HITN. “Opening our doors for this celebration reflects who we are: an organization dedicated to creating content that educates, entertains, and inspires, while staying rooted in culture and community.”
The 2026 celebration welcomed HITN employees and their families, along with invited guests, for a day designed to engage attendees of all ages. Children were at the center of the festivities, enjoying interactive activities including face painting, an e-gaming area, and special gift bags. Young guests also had the opportunity to meet the beloved mascot from Edye, HITN’s early learning platform.
A highlight of the event was the appearance of the Three Wise Men: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, who brought the tradition to life for families and children alike. Their participation underscored the importance of preserving cultural customs through community involvement and volunteerism.
Adults enjoyed a vibrant program featuring live musical performances, and a festive dinner showcasing traditional Puerto Rican cuisine, including arroz con gandules, pernil, and the seasonal favorite, Coquito.
With strong attendance and enthusiastic participation, the 2026 Three Kings Day Fiesta reinforced HITN’s role as a cultural and educational leader within the Hispanic community. The celebration once again highlighted HITN’s dedication to fostering connection, honoring heritage, and creating joyful experiences that bring people together.
