In a heartwarming tradition of giving, HITN, in collaboration with the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation and several local businesses, has once again spearheaded the New York Cares Coat Drive, showcasing the spirit of generosity within the community.

This year, the collective efforts of Scenicorp, HipHopCloset, NewLab, Mediapro, Duggal, and Steiner Studios have significantly sustained the drive, trying to maintain the same number of donated coats.

Michael D. Nieves, President and CEO of HITN, expressed gratitude, stating, “HITN was honored to be part of this coat drive once again. Together with the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation and participant companies, we collected a grand total of 200 coats. And we want to thank everyone who contributed coats, funds, or their time. Every effort is truly appreciated.”

Prior to donation, all collected coats underwent meticulous dry cleaning by yard-based Kingsbridge Cleaners & Tailors, ensuring their pristine condition before being handed over to the local New York Cares Warehouse.

As the curtains closed on 2023, the HITN community celebrated their successful participation in this initiative, reaching out to the less fortunate during the chilling winter season. The collective efforts brought warmth and protection to those in need, fostering a sense of care and solidarity within the community.
