HITN received ten nominations for the 68th Annual New York Emmy® Awards, surpassing its previous record for the most nominations earned in a single year.
The 68th Annual New York Emmy® Award nominations were announced on July 29th from the PIX 11 studios in Midtown. And these were HITN’s nominated pieces and its categories:

Nomination announcers at the PIX11 studio
“Earning 10 nominations at this year’s New York Emmy Awards highlights the impact our work. Hosting the announcement was NY Emmy® Awards Chair and PIX 11 Senior Correspondent Mavin Scott. Presenting the nominations were Rich Barrabi (News 12), Rosarina Bretón (WNJU Telemundo 47), Fernando Cárdenas Peña (HITN-TV), Damaris Díaz (WXTV Univision 41), Shannan Ferry (NY1), Virginia Huie (Newsday), Monica Morales (PIX 11), Jesssica Moore (WCBS-TV), Kristie Reeter (News 12), Kristie Reeter (News 12), and Sarah Wallace (WNBC-TV).
It was also announced that Marvin Scott will be presented the NY Chapter’s highest honor: the Governor’s Award in recognition of his over 50 years of journalistic achievement.
The 3rd Annual NY Sports Emmy Awards Ceremony will take place on September 16th and the 68th Annual Emmy® Awards will be presented on October 11th at the New York Marriott Marquis at 1535 Broadway NY, NY 10036 The 68th Gala is divided into two ceremonies, The Creative Arts Ceremony and the 68th Annual NY Emmy Awards Gala.
