Currently, ABC Puerto Rico produces and broadcasts local programming, including entertainment, variety and news programs (such as Primetime and ABC News Extra), as well as programming from ABC USA. The channel is available with its open signal and through all cable and digital television providers in Puerto Rico. HITN and ABC 5 has a relationship that has been growing, with the intention of creating joint programming, integrating the wide range of programs in HITN’s portfolio with issues of local interest in Puerto Rico, fostering commercial and cooperative ties between the two television networks.
In partnership with the Robinhood Foundation, HITN has launched a prototype program in Hunts Point called 92 Weeks which focuses on driving a healthy pregnancy, good birth outcomes and optimizing infants’ brains in their 1st year of life.
HITN also provided outreach to the Latino community in support of the FUEL for Fifty Challenge.
