In partnership with UBEAT, HITN is excited to produced its first virtual Super Smash Bros bootcamp for high school students located in the Chicago area. Hosted over video conference, this immersive two-day esports experience gives students the chance to hear from guest speakers, learn teamwork, and refine their gaming skills with guidance from top industry experts. Everything they learn throughout the bootcamp will be put to use in the final competition, where participants compete for top honors.
This virtual two-day esports bootcamp has been attracting a lot of attention simply because it’s one of the few events focused on supporting young Hispanic and African American gamers interested in breaking into the esports industry!
Here are some of the details:
- The bootcamp uses a combination of structured mock tournaments, with sessions led by guest speakers;
- The invited guest speakers share insight and advice on what young gamers can do to ensure they succeed in the professional world of esports;
- The event is being hosted by Adesina Sanchez, Danny Pena (Gamertag Radio) & Erin Simon (Cheddar Esports)
- The event will air live on June 15 & June 16 from 3pm CT to 6pm CT.
