HITN’S ENTERTAINMENT DIGITAL APP EVOLVES TO HITN GO

The new HITN app will allow Spanish speaking families to access a wealth of new, engaging and smart content to access whenever and wherever they choose.

Brooklyn, NY – HITN TV announced an evolution of its entertainment digital app to HITN GO. The fresh, reinvigorated App will feature a wealth of new content that will enable subscribers to access its authenticated TV Everywhere and VOD services whenever and wherever they choose. The HITN GO app can be downloaded in iOS from the Apple’s App Store and in Android from Google Play. HITN GO is also available for Apple TV and Roku devices. Subscribers that receive HITN TV from Verizon FIOS, Optimum by Altice, Spectrum, and now, Xfinity have free and unrestricted access to the HITN GO app.

“HITN was the first Hispanic Pay TV network that offered a complete suite of TV Everywhere apps including iOS, Android, Apple TV and Roku. This allowed Hispanic families across the nation to enjoy all of HITN’s content anytime and anywhere. With HITN GO, now our growing base of users will have more content and a renewed experience. HITN GO will allow network subscribers to access HITN’s linear network and hundreds of hours of VOD content, including educational and informative programs and spectacular nature documentaries in the ‘Tu Planeta’ block such as ‘Al Descubierto’, also hit shows such as Centro Médico, among others. In addition, families will now be able to enjoy new premieres such as Animales Maravillosos, Recorriendo and Frontier Vets.

HITN GO app can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store and google play. HITN GO is available to subscribers to the following distributors, Verizon FIOS, Optimum by Altice, Spectrum, and now, subscribers to Xfinity will have access to HITN GO app.

HITN Achieves Unprecedented and Historical Ratings Growth During Second Quarter

The channel has experienced significant increase in viewership during coronavirus outbreak with its top-quality programming that informs, educates, and entertains Spanish-speaking families.

Brooklyn, NY – HITN TV has reported record growth in its ratings this 2nd Quarter, achieving the highest numbers to date as the coronavirus continues. According to Nielsen rankings, HITN TV has seen major increases

Since the crisis erupted in March, HITN’s programming delivery has been on the rise week after week. Cornerstone programs such as, Al Descubierto and Centro Médico have broken viewership records in April. It is worth noting that as the weeks go by, the need to stay informed about the pandemic has been balanced with the audience’s need for a breather. This reality is demonstrated in the audience peaks reached in April by nature programs such as Planeta Helado, Mundo Salvaje con Ron Magill, Animales Maravillosos, Tesoros de Asia, Historia de la Vida, Planeta Selva, and Felinos, all of which are part of the television block “Tu Planeta”.

One of the most outstanding successes is that of HITNs brand “Vida y Salud” (“Life and Health”). In mid-March, HITN launched its Covid-19 campaign to provide real time informative content about the coronavirus. This included the #YoMeQuedoEnCasa, stay at home campaign, daily primetime reports and informational capsules to help families navigate during the pandemic. In addition, the VidaySalud.com website continuously provided updated information on the COVID-19 pandemic, with the latest recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The site is supplemented by email newsletters sent to millions of subscribers, and by daily posts on social media along with Facebook Lives hosted by medical experts. VidaySalud.com also offers people free live chats with medical experts, who offer general information to help answer medical doubts and questions related to the crisis situation they are experiencing.

 Brooklyn, NY — On January 7th, the Parada Tres Reyes Magos de Brooklyn will be hosting its annual Three Kings Day parade in Brooklyn. At the conclusion of the parade, participants will head to the All Saints Catholic Church for a toy giveaway for children in the community. HITN, the largest non-commercial Hispanic network in the United States that offers educational and entertainment content to more than 44 million households across the country, will collaborate with the parade organizers and will be donating over one hundred toys for this effort.

In light of the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, and Brooklyn being the recipient of numerous displaced families from Puerto Rico, this annual parade takes on new meaning and significance. Perhaps as never before, this Three Kings Day parade will allow for the uplifting of this important cultural and religious event at a crucial time for our city and its Latino communities, particularly those hailing from Puerto Rico. HITN has been delighted to work with the Parada this year because of this opportunity to give Latinos a piece of their home traditions.
