Hillary Rodham Clinton

First child of Dorothy and Hugh Rodham, Hillary Diane Rodham, was born on October 26, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. She had two brothers, Hugh and Tony. She spent her childhood with them in Park Ridge, Illinois.

A Republican turned Democrat, in 1968 Hillary entered Yale Law School. She worked on the Board of Editors of Yale Law Review and Social Action, where she met Bill Clinton. The two of them moved to Arkansas and Bill Clinton began his political career. They were married in 1975. Hillary joined the faculty of the University of Arkansas Law School in 1975, and the Rose Law Firm in 1976. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter appointed her to the board off the Legal Services Corporation, and Bill became the Governor of Arkansas. Chelsea, their daughter, was born in 1980.

After her husband was elected as the President of the United States in 1993, Hillary traveled the globe speaking out against the degradation and abuse of women. She spread the idea that women's rights are human rights.

In 1996, Hillary wrote a best selling book, "It Takes a Village and Other Lessons Children Teach Us."

Hillary Clinton was elected to the Unites States Senate representing New York in 2000.

In 2003, She published the book "Living History" about the eight years she spent in the White house.
