HITN congratulates our 1st Career Fast Track graduating class!
HITN’s Career Fast Track program has successfully completed our 1st full-length distance learning career course! This 72-hour Pharmacy Technician videoconferencing course was provided by HITN in collaboration with Lehman College and our upstate New York community partners: Centro Civico of Amsterdam, Hispanics United of Buffalo, Ibero-American Action League (Rochester) and the Spanish Action League (Syracuse). On August 3rd, 2010 at 5pm ET, HITN hosted a “virtual graduation” for our students and their families, connecting the four upstate NY locations with Lehman College and HITN in New York City through our videoconferencing network. The event was also streaming live online, enabling those who could not attend in person to join us in recognizing our students for their accomplishments.
The completion of this course marks a landmark achievement not only for our Pharmacy Technician students, but also for HITN as a provider of innovative, multimedia distance learning and workforce development programs. Through advanced technology and strong partnerships, we help our students to overcome financial and geographical barriers to education, thereby enabling them to advance their careers and improve their lives.
